Danger Hatt & MidKnight Thunder
November 11 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm EST$8
Danger Hatt was established last year between two friends whose musical styles span back to the 1930’s, through the 60’s, and into today. Guitarist and vocalist Randy Sarton and drummer Bill Hattori play music rooted in folk, blues, rag, and rock.
The duo have performed in many venues in Black Mountain and the greater Asheville area. As for Danger Hatt’s unusual name, Bill often describes Randy’s guitar playing as “dangerous”, and the two T’s signify Bill’s last name.
MidKnight Thunder, a three-piece band comprised Tim Fincannon (guitar, vocals), Nat Justice (drums, vocals) and Craig Rumney (bass), is a classic rock cover band that’s also a little folky and country, and plays some original songs written by Fincannon.
Rumney is certainly no stranger to White Horse Black Mountain patrons, as the bearded one is the familiar face who mans the cash register and greets concert goers in the venue’s reception area. He and the other band members credit Bob Hinkle, the founder and manager of White Horse Black Mountain, for giving them “a gentle push” to form the band, hosting their debut at the venue’s Open Mic night.
