Hiroya Tsukamoto is a unique composer, guitarist, singer-songwriter.
Hailing from Kyoto, Japan, Hiroya began playing 5-string banjo at 13 quickly followed by guitar. He was drawn to the US with a full scholarship to the Berklee School of Music, a rare honor. While in Boston Hiroya formed the band Interoceanico with players from other continents. The group released 3 acclaimed LP’s.
Since then, Hiroya has released 3 solo LP’s and appeared in concert at many prestigious venues as well as television. He’s performed at New York’s famed Blue Note Jazz Club several times and placed second in the International Finger Style Guitar Championship.
