What are your hours?
Currently White Horse Black Mountain is closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When we are once again permitted to open, we have a full schedule of events each week. Most of our events take place in the evening but we also feature occasional daytime events (especially on Saturday and Sunday). Most of our evening shows begin at either 7:30pm (weeknights) or 8:00pm (Friday and Saturday nights) and we open the doors 30 minutes prior to the show.

Do you serve food?
White Horse serves a variety of snacks including crackers, chips, and other items. There are a number of great restaurants within easy walking distance of White Horse. We encourage folks to pick up a meal or sandwich from one of our neighboring restaurants and bring it in to White Horse.
Our snack menu include a selection of chips, crackers, pretzels, and sweets.
Do you serve liquor?
White Horse Black Mountain features a variety local and regionally brewed draft beers from Asheville and the surrounding region in addition to bottled beers.
Our Wine List includes a selection of both red and white wine from around the country and around the world including wines from Chile, Spain, Australia, Italy, Germany, and America.
In addition we serve soft drinks, juices, sparkling water, and several specialty beverages.
At this time we do not serve liquor.
How do I purchase tickets?
During normal operations, you can purchase tickets in the lobby before a show. Our doors generally open about 30 minutes before a show. You can also purchase tickets in advance through this web site. For White Horse Live events, we do not charge a ticket price, but ask that you pay what you can for episodes you watch.
How large is White Horse Black Mountain?
Our venue is 3000 square feet. The fire marshall allows us to have up to 215 people, and we have seating for 140. Depending on how the seats are arranged a crowd that size can make the place feel quite full!
Can I reserve a specific seat? Or is it always General Admission?
All of our shows our general admission with no assigned seating.
We offer cabaret-style table seating for most shows.
We have capacity for 215, and we have seating for 140. We offer table seating for approximately 100 guests, and an additional 40 seats without tables. Seats are available on a first come first served basis.
What if I want to sit right up front?
Arrive early! We’re a friendly place. Come early, get a seat, visit the bar, peruse the music memorabilia in our lobby, listen to some great recorded music before the show.
Where can I park?
There are a number of free parking lots and spaces in downtown Black Mountain, all within easy walking distance of the venue. We have parking directly adjacent to our building. There is on-street parking all over town. There are several parking lots within a block and a half of our venue. The Presbyterian Church adjacent to our venue also allows use of their parking except when they have services.
How do I find out about upcoming concerts?
This web site contains the most current information we have. You can search for music styles, specific artists, and date ranges.
Can I bring my children?
Well behaved children are welcome, and children under the age of 12 are admitted at half price.
White Horse Black Mountain is a true listening room, where respectful audiences pays close attention to what’s happening on stage. It’s also kid-friendly!
Do you allow smoking?
Smoking and vaping are only permitted outside the venue in the designated areas. We ask that you be respectful of others and not share your smoke or vape with audience members who might not enjoy it.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes! We accept major credit cards both through this web site and at the door, and credit cards are also accepted at the bar.
Do you have an ATM machine close by?
While we don’t have an ATM on the premises, there are several ATMs and banks within easy walking distance.

Are they any good?
Seriously, we welcome great local and national acts, and will be happy to consider artists who are unknown to us. White Horse features a variety of music and performing arts events including international and national touring performers. We also feature the best in local and regional talent.
Our musical performances cover a wide range of genres including blues, bluegrass, classical, jazz, folk, pop, world music, Native American music, songwriters, and more.

In our 10+ years White Horse Black Mountain has hosted hundreds of benefit events. White Horse Black Mountain is available for rental for a variety of events. The space is used for weddings, wedding rehearsals, birthday parties, reunions, seminars, workshops, corporate events, non-profit events, films, fairs, festivals and more.
We offer reasonable rates and top notch service and attention to helping you make your event a rousing success.
